Mālama (care): caring for your table

Mālama means to care for, protect, and look after. A little care keeps both the wood and the water system beautiful:

  • Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap; avoid harsh or ammonia cleaners.
  • Use trivets and coasters — epoxy can soften under heat.
  • Keep out of long, direct sun to limit yellowing and fading.
  • Top up the reservoir with distilled water and never let the pump run dry.
  • Clean the pump intake periodically.
